What your prospect fears

Hey,

There’s a hidden fear that quietly kills more sales than you’d think…

And most people never even say a word about it.

It’s this:

👉 “I’m worried I won’t know how to use it.”

People find this embarrassing to admit to a salesperson.

So more often than not, they just keep it to themselves.

Now, a lot of copywriters don’t even realize it’s a real worry.

But it’s something that can keep you from getting the sale.

Luckily, you can wipe this problem out with one simple move:

Tell a story that shows how someone else discovered how to use your product—and how it turned out to be way easier than they expected!

Like this:

“Teresa just got a new digital camera. She was excited when it arrived but quickly overwhelmed by all the buttons and settings.

But once she spent 10 minutes on a few basics like changing modes, adjusting focus, and reviewing photos, she realized it was actually a piece of cake to use.

And the same day, she started taking great pictures. Now Teresa loves showing off her professional-looking shots.”

Notice something?

This wasn’t some boring, technical deep-dive manual.

Not even close.

It just covered a few basics—which, honestly, is all 95% of the buyers of this camera will ever need anyway.

And that’s the key.

When you’re putting together a story like this, you don’t need to show someone becoming a master or an expert.

You just need to show them having fun… getting value… and seeing results in a matter of minutes (or however fast is reasonably possible).

A simple story like this knocks out the “I won’t know how” objection—without ever needing to spell it out.

Worth remembering next time you sit down to write. 😉

Till next week,

David
